My ServiceNow Story: Adam J. Celli, GlideFast SDM, Sr. TC and ServiceNow MVP

The team at GlideFast Consulting is full of passionate, skilled, and enthusiastic developers and architects. If there is one thing that we all have in common, it is our love for the ServiceNow platform and community. “My ServiceNow Story” is a blog series that will give you an inside look of the work and lives of the consultants at GlideFast Consulting and how they started and built their careers in the industry. Our consultants will share their stories with you and will lead you down the path that brought them to where they are today.

How were you first introduced to ServiceNow? What was your first job using the platform?

In 2015, I was a part-time help desk supervisor at a University while pursuing my Master's degree in double bass performance. Near the end of my time there, a project to transition from Numara Footprints to ServiceNow was in the requirements gathering stage.

What other jobs have you had working with ServiceNow?

  • Help Desk tier 2 & 3, also worked on Knowledge Management which is what opened the door to picking up more ServiceNow admin duties.

  • ServiceNow admin/dev at the same org after the previous admin left. Primarily worked on catalog improvements.

  • ServiceNow engineer at ATPCO. On-call integration, Portal work, general instance management.

What are your primary ServiceNow skills?

Portal and Mobile are probably my most niche specialties, but I also really enjoy process automation and integrations. I always joke about how I don't have my own eye for design, but I can execute the heck outta somebody else's. So thank goodness we have Tim Engstrom, Lauren Toomey, and Sarah Toulson to give me that direction.

What are your plans for the future in your career and in the ServiceNow industry?

I'm working my way towards becoming a Technical Architect next.

What’s something else you would like to tell us?

I am also the assistant principal double bass in the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra. I have a beautiful wife, a 7 month old son (born in late July, depending on how long before this is posted), and two crazy cats.
