GlideFast Consulting aims to raise $100,000 for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation in 2021

As one of the leading causes of death worldwide, nearly everyone knows someone who is battling or has battled cancer. When our own CEO, Michael Lombardo, was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma in 2019, the GlideFast and ServiceNow communities stepped up tremendously to offer support and ensure the Lombardo family was taken care of throughout his battle. Now proudly cancer-free for nearly a year, Michael Lombardo is making it his mission to give back to other families fighting cancer.

During Lombardo’s battle, VividCharts’ CEO, Mitch Stutler, started a GoFundMe to help the Lombardo family manage medical bills. Rather than accepting it for himself, Lombardo decided to donate the $15,000 raised to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, where it would help other cancer patients and families in need.

Former New England Patriots player, Joe Andruzzi, and his wife, Jen, founded the Joe Andruzzi Foundation following Joe’s successful battle with non-Hodgkin’s Burkitt’s lymphoma. The Foundation provides financial assistance to families struggling to pay household bills while also trying to manage the unexpected costs of cancer treatment. Because patients and families must often devote all of their energy and resources towards battling the disease, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress, helping them focus on recovery–not bills. Right now, these challenges are compounded by the ongoing pandemic.

In 2021, Michael Lombardo and the GlideFast team set the ambitious goal to raise $50,000 for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. In addition to gathering these donations, GlideFast Consulting and the Lombardo family will match up to $25,000 each, for a total goal donation of $100,000.
